This privacy notice provides you with information about the processing of personal data that takes place when you visit this website or that may take place if you should make use of certain functionalities of this website as required by Article 13 General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). It covers both the publicly available sections of the LIREN website and the "internal" section (log-in required) that is reserved for admitted LIREN users. The notice provides different subsections for the publicly available sections and the "internal" section in respect of most of the topics addressed below.

Log files

Publicly available sections of the website

During access to publicly available sections of the website, specific data are stored in log files. Log data cannot be related to individual persons. This means that the keeping of the log files does not result in the processing of personal data.

In detail the data stored in log files are:

• Name of the requested file
• Date and time of request
• Message if transmission was successful
• LIREN Language & Communication does not store visitors’ IP addresses.

The log files are used for statistical purposes only.

"Internal" section (log-in required)

Access to the “expert internal” section of the website requires log-in and is reserved for admitted LIREN experts. During access, specific data are stored in log files. Log data cannot be related to individual persons. This means that the keeping of the log files does not result in the processing of personal data.

Logging attributes do not differ from those when accessing publicly available sections of the website (without being logged in).

This means that only the following data are stored in log files:

• Name of the requested file
• Date and time of request
• Message if transmission was successful
• Log files do not contain any personal data such as visitors’ names or user names. Furthermore, LIREN Language & Communication does not store visitors’ IP addresses.

The log files are used for statistical purposes only.

LIREN Language & Communication does not support the exchange of encrypted e-mail messages. LIREN Language & Communication processes the information that is submitted via e-mail for the purpose of processing and responding to the enquiry of the visitor of the website.

 

Dispute resolution complaint form

Outsourcing complaint process:

The Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) Platform is provided by the European Commission to help you resolve disputes with your online customers without going to court. It can be used for any contractual dispute arising from online purchases of goods or services where the trader and consumer are both based in the EU or Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein.

If you trade online in the EU, Norway, Iceland or Liechtenstein, you have the following obligations in relation to the ODR platform. These obligations APPLY TO ALL ONLINE TRADERS whether they intend to use the ODR platform or not:

• You have to clearly provide your e-mail address on your website. Providing only an interactive contact form is not sufficient.
• You have to provide a link from your website to the Online Dispute Resolution platform https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. This link has to be visible and easily accessible on the website.

 

Registration Form(s) for LIREN user admission to training

As an element of the admission procedure for prospective LIREN trainees, LIREN Language & Communication conducts LIREN user admission process on a regular basis. Trainers and professionals who want to participate in an admission of a new user within an existing training course may register for this event providing the following information:

• First name
• Last name
• Company name
• Address
• E-mail

They may also provide the following information on a voluntary basis:

• Phone
• VAT ID
• Indication of their role / professional background (if applicable)
• Indication whether they previously attend the same LIREN training course
• Fax
• Optional billing address (if it is different from the address that was already indicated in the form)

LIREN Language & Communication processes the personal data collected via this form for the purpose of a contract organising and conducting the respective LIREN course Admission of a new user.

Future participants are required to provide the following information:

• First name
• Last name
• Company name
• Address
• E-mail
• Phone

They may also provide the following information on a voluntary basis:

• Fax
• Comments and request to be discussed during the enhancement (this is only relevant for admitted LIREN experts)
• Indication of their role / professional background (if applicable)
• Indication whether they previously attend the same LIREN training course

LIREN Language & Communication processes the personal data collected via this form for the purpose of a contract while providing advices to the trainee and enhancing LIREN services.

 

Your rights

As a user of this website, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) assigns the following rights to you:

Right of access (Article 15 GDPR)

You have the right to obtain confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning you are being processed. Where personal data concerning you are being processed, you have the right of access to these data and to the information listed in Article 15 GDPR.

Right to rectification (Article 16 GDPR)

You have the right to obtain the rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning you without undue delay. During access to publicly available sections of the website, specific data are stored in log files. Taking into account the purposes of the processing, you have the right to have incomplete personal data completed, including by means of providing a supplementary statement.

Right to erasure (Article 17 GDPR)

You have the right to obtain erasure of personal data concerning you without undue dealy where one of the grounds listed in Article 17 applies (e.g., the personal data are no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which they were collected or otherwise processed).

Right to restriction of processing (Article 18 GDPR)

You have the right to obtain restriction of processing where one of the grounds listed in Article 18 applies (e.g., you have objected to processing pursuant to Article 21 GDPR pending the verification whether legitimate grounds of LIREN Language & Communication override your legitimate grounds).

Right to data portability (Article 20 GDPR)

You have the right to receive the personal data concerning you in a structured, commonly used and machine-readyble format and the right to transmit those data to another controller without hindrance, where one of the grounds listed in Article 20 GDPR applies.

Right to object (Article 21 GDPR)

You have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, at any time to processing of personal data concerning you which is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. In such a case, LIREN Language & Communication will no longer process the personal data unless it demonstrates compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Article 77 GDPR)

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member state of your habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement if you should consider that the processing of personal data concerning you infringes data protection regulations.
